Safety, leak protection and considered design
VapeM8 disposable vapes are developed with everyday safety in mind: practical, pre-filled disposables built for consistent performance, clear flavour delivery and robust handling. Two aspects are central to our design — child safety and leak protection — so our devices incorporate a multi-layer protection design that minimises risks at home, during transport and in retail.
Design principle: multi-layer protection and child safety
Each VapeM8 unit is designed with several physical barriers that collectively make the product difficult for small children to access and robust against leakage. The construction comprises four separate safety measures that all must be removed or handled before the vape can be used:
Protective outer packaging — an outer carton or blister that must be opened on first use. The packaging serves as tamper evidence and as the initial barrier to access.
Perforated inner foil — a sealed plastic insert that requires tearing along a specific perforation to access the device. This step requires finer motor skills than small children typically have.
Resealable rubber safety plug — a sealing safety plug that must be removed to activate the mouthpiece. The plug can be re-inserted to child-proof the device again after opening.
Fixed bottom protection barrier — a moulded protective plastic in the bottom of the housing that must be removed for the device to operate. This barrier also helps stabilise the liquid during transport.
The combination of these four steps means the product cannot be used immediately without several manual actions. Based on normal child motor skills, we consider these steps to make it practically impossible for a child aged 1–5 years to access the contents in a short time. The safety plug can be used after opening to reseal and secure the disposable vape.
Fully leak-proof devices — engineering and testing
Our units are engineered to be leak-proof under normal conditions of storage, handling and transport. To achieve this we use the following technical solutions:
Sealing rubber components and precise manufacturing tolerances in the mouthpiece and safety plug.
A dual-stage sealing system (inner foil + rubber plug) that prevents liquid flow even under shock or temperature changes.
A robust bottom barrier that prevents leakage in case of drops or pressure.
To ensure functionality we run internal leak tests including static pressure tests, drop tests and temperature variation trials. We continuously perform sample checks to ensure these criteria are met across production batches.
Quality control
Our products are developed in compliance with applicable regulations for e-cigarettes and refill containers, including requirements for tamper-resistant and child-protective construction and limits on nicotine concentration. VapeM8 is offered in nicotine salt strengths of 14.5 mg/ml and 20 mg/ml, as well as nicotine-free options. Device design is optimised to minimise the risk of leakage and unauthorised access.
We maintain clear QC routines in production to ensure that all safety features are assembled and inspected before products are released. Documentation, batch traceability and protocols for quality control and laboratory testing are available for internal follow-up and regulatory inspection if required.
